Exhaust manifold — removal and installation (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

1. Remove the high-voltage wires from the spark plugs.

2. Unscrew the nuts securing the exhaust system inlet pipe to the exhaust manifold. Remove and discard the gasket.

3. Unscrew the bolts securing the exhaust manifold to the cylinder head. Remove the manifold and discard the gasket.

4. If necessary, unscrew the bolts (604) securing the heat shield (603) and remove the shield.

5. If necessary, unscrew the studs (605) securing the exhaust system inlet pipe.

6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
