Removal



1. Remove the top engine cover.

2. Remove the holder (2) of the left half-block wire harness connector.

3. Disconnect the ignition coil connector (1).

4. Remove the wire harness support clips (4) from the ignition coil bracket studs.

5. Move the bundle of wires to the side.

6. Remove the spark plug wires (724) from the ignition coil:
  • turn the wire half a turn;
  • pull the wire from the spark plug by the cover.

7. Unscrew the studs (720) of the ignition coil bracket. Tightening torque 12 Nm.

8. Remove the ignition coil bracket (719). If necessary, disconnect the wires (721) from the ignition coil (722), unscrew the coil mounting bolts (723) and remove the coil.

9. Remove the crankcase ventilation hose.

10. Loosen the valve cover mounting bolts. Tightening torque 12 Nm.

11. Remove the valve cover.

12. Remove and discard the old cover gasket.

Installation



13. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. Never reinstall the valve cover gasket. If the hose spacer was dislodged when removing the crankcase ventilation hose, install a new spacer.
