Assembly order
Important:
- Before installation, lubricate all components with transmission fluid.
- The machined surface faces the needle thrust bearing.
1. Apply locking sealant before installing 5th gear pinion (Permatex 620) on the circumference of the primary shaft.
2. Install the 5th gear using DT-48238 and a hydraulic press.
3. Install the thrust bearing (2).
4. Install two needle bearings (1).
5. Install the 3rd gear pinion (4).
6. Install the 3rd gear locking ring (3).
7. Install the thrust bearing (2).
8. Install the thrust ring (1).
9. Install the 3rd/4th gear synchronizer using DT-48236 and a hydraulic press.
Important:
- The machined surface of the synchronizer faces the thrust ring.
- Be sure to align the grooves in the synchronizer with the protrusions on the gear locking ring.
10. Install the bearing ring using DT-48236 and a hydraulic press.
11. Install the 4th gear locking ring (4).
12. Install the needle bearing (3).
13. Install the 4th gear pinion (2).
14. Install the thrust ring (1).
15. Install the plain bearing using the appropriate tool.
