Transfer case fluid replacement (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Raise the vehicle and place it on the supports provided for this purpose.



2. Unscrew the drain plug (1).

3. Unscrew the filler plug (2).

Installation procedure

1. Install the drain plug (1) back into place.

Tighten

Tighten the drain plug (1) to 39 Nm (29 ft·lbs).

2. Fill the transfer case with 75W-90 synthetic hypoid fluid to the bottom of the filler hole while the vehicle is on a level surface.

3. Install the filler plug (2) back into place.

Tighten

Tighten the filler plug (2) to 39 Nm (29 ft·lbs).

4. Lower the car.
