- a) checking the fuse and/or circuit breaker.
- b) checking the integrity of the wires from the switches, the reliability of their connections. Checking the serviceability of the switch.
- c) checking the condition of the wiring and drives of the locks under the door trim panel, checking the drive rods (on car parts), to make sure they are not bent or damaged (the lock actuator can be checked by briefly applying voltage from the battery to it - a click indicates that the actuator solenoid is working properly).

The car locking system uses door lock drives installed on each door. The system consists of switches, electromagnetic drives and connecting wires. Checking the system usually comes down to inspecting the connections and drives, searching for minor faults that can be easily eliminated:
