Temperature sensors — removal and installation (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Upper right and left sensors



1. Remove the upper instrument panel trim. See Chapter "Body".

2. Disconnect the electrical connector (1) of the upper right temperature sensor (2).

3. Remove the upper right temperature sensor (1) from the center air duct.

4. Remove the upper left temperature sensor (2) from the center air duct (1).

4. Remove the upper left temperature sensor (2) from the center air duct (1).


5. Disconnect the connector (3) of the upper left temperature sensor (2).



6. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Lower right and left sensors



1. Remove the lower instrument panel trim.

2. (Models before 2007.) Remove the right lower air duct.

3. (Models before 2007.) Remove the center console.

4. Disconnect the lower right temperature sensor connector (1).

4. Disconnect the lower right temperature sensor connector (1).


5. Remove the lower right temperature sensor.

6. (Models since 2007.) Remove the knee support.

7. Disconnect the lower left temperature sensor connector (1).

7. Disconnect the lower left temperature sensor connector (1).


8. Remove the lower left temperature sensor (1) from the air conditioning unit (2).

9. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

Additional temperature sensors



1. Remove the luggage compartment side trim on the right side.

2. Remove the rear pillar trim on the right side.



3. Disconnect the additional upper temperature sensor connector (11).

4. Remove the additional upper temperature sensor (11) from the central air duct.

5. Disconnect the additional lower temperature sensor connector (10).

6. Remove the additional lower temperature sensor (10) from the central air duct.

6. Remove the additional lower temperature sensor (10) from the central air duct.


7. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
