Attention:
- Before replacing a light bulb, make sure the light switches are turned off.
- To avoid burns, replace lamps only after they have cooled down.
- Halogen lamps require special care. Do not touch the glass part of the lamp with your hands, hold the lamp only by the plastic or metal housing.
- Use only lamps with the specified codes (see the corresponding table). For codes of lamps not listed in the table, please contact your dealer.

Escalade
1. Replacing headlight bulbs.
1 - low beam headlight, 2 - daytime running light, 3 - front side light, 4 - high beam headlight, 5 - front turn signal/parking light.
a) Open the hood.
b) Using a flat-head screwdriver, release the eight fasteners on the radiator shroud of the cooling system.

c) Remove the radiator shroud of the cooling system.
d) Pull the upper left and right corners of the grille to release the clips. This will give you enough space to remove the headlight assembly.

d) Remove the horizontal pin of the headlight unit by moving its end upwards until it clicks and then towards the centre of the vehicle.

e) Remove the vertical pin by moving it away from the headlight assembly until it clicks and then upwards.

g) Pull up and remove the headlight unit.
Note: When installing the headlight assembly into place, fit the lower mounting tab of the headlight assembly into the hole in the vehicle body.

h) Disconnect the connector from the bottom of the headlight unit. This will make further work easier.
i) Remove the seal and cover of the lamp to be replaced.

(Replacing low/high beam headlight bulbs)
k) Turn the lamp connector counterclockwise and pull out the connector together with the lamp.
l) Remove the lamp from the socket and replace it with a new one.
(Replacing the daytime running light bulb, front turn signal/parking light bulb and front side light bulb)
k) Press the connector lock lever and turn the connector together with the lamp to be replaced counterclockwise.
Note: When installing, insert the connector together with the bulb into the headlight unit and turn clockwise until it locks.
l) Remove the lamp from the socket and replace it with a new one.
2. Replacing the combination light bulbs.
1 - rear turn signal lamp, 2 - brake light lamp, 3 - reversing light lamp, 4 - rear side light lamp
a) Unscrew the two screws securing the combination light.

b) Remove the combination lamp assembly.
c) Press the connector lock and turn the connector together with the lamp to be replaced counterclockwise (there is no latch on the rear side light connector).
Note: When installing, insert the connector together with the bulb into the combination lamp and turn it clockwise until it locks.
d) Remove the lamp from the socket and replace it with a new one.

Chevrolet Tahoe
1. Replacing low/high beam lamps.
a) Remove the two retaining pins from the top of the headlight assembly. To remove the front pin, turn it outward and lift it up. To remove the rear pin, turn it inward and lift it up.

b) Remove the headlight unit.
1 - low beam lamp, 2 - high beam lamp
c) Disconnect the lamp connector.
d) Turn the replacement bulb counterclockwise and remove it from the headlight unit.
d) Install the new headlight by turning it clockwise until it stops.
e) Connect the lamp connector, install the headlight unit in place and secure it with two pins.
2. Replacing the front turn signal lamp, front side light and daytime running light system lamp.
1 - front side light, 2 - lock, 3 - front turn signal, 4 - daytime running light
a) Remove the headlight unit (see above).
b) Press the latch located behind the turn signal lamp unit towards the outside of the vehicle
c) Remove the turn signal lamp unit.
d) Press the lock, turn the lamp connector counterclockwise and remove it together with the lamp from the housing.
d) Remove the lamp from the socket and replace it with a new one
e) The lamp is installed in the reverse order.
3. Replacing the combination light bulbs.
1 - rear turn signal lamp, 2 - reversing light lamp, 3 - brake light lamp
a) Unscrew the two screws and remove the combination lamp.

b) Press the lock and turn the connector of the desired bulb counterclockwise to remove the bulb from the combination lamp.

c) Remove the lamp from the socket and install a new one.
d) The lamp is installed in the reverse order.
4. Replacing the upper side light bulbs.
a) Unscrew the two screws and remove the diffuser.

Note: The central overhead light diffuser is secured with six screws.

b) Turn counterclockwise to remove the lamp and replace it with a new one.
Chevrolet Avalanche
1. Replacing headlight bulbs.
(Type 1)
a) Open the hood.
b) Remove the front turn signal/parking light bulb assembly by pressing the release tab on the outside of the assembly and pulling the assembly towards you from the outside.

c) Pull the block by the inner side and remove it from the engine compartment.
d) Remove the headlight assembly retaining pins from the retainers and then pull them out of the engine compartment.

d) Remove the headlight unit from the engine compartment.
1 - low beam headlight, 2 - high beam headlight
e) Remove the lamp connector together with the lamp from the headlight unit by turning it counterclockwise.
g) Remove the lamp from the socket and replace it with a new one.
c) Install the lamp in the reverse order.
(Type 2)
a) Open the hood.
b) Remove the headlight unit locking pin as shown in the figure.

c) Remove the headlight unit.
1 - low beam headlight, 2 - high beam headlight
d) Disconnect the lamp connector.
d) Unscrew the required lamp from the headlight unit and replace it with a new one.
2. Replacing the front turn signal, front side light and parking light bulbs.
a) Remove the turn signal/parking light bulb assembly (see above).
1 - front side light, 2 - front turn signal/parking light
b) Press the lock and turn the connector of the desired lamp counterclockwise to remove the lamp from the lamp unit (there is no latch on the front parking light connector).
c) Remove the lamp from the socket and replace it with a new one.
