2. Remove the oil pickup and pickup tube (see illustration).

3. Clean parts with solvent and dry with compressed air.
Attention! Don't forget to wear safety goggles.
4. If the oil pickup is damaged or has metal particles on it, replace it. The presence of many metal particles indicates a significant engine problem that needs to be repaired.
5. Keep the mating surfaces of the tube flange and engine block clean and install the oil pickup using a new gasket.
6. Install the oil sump (see section 17).
7. Do not forget to fill in oil before starting the engine (see chapter 1, section 12).
