1. Your vehicle's engine may be equipped with Active Fuel Management™. This system allows the engine to run on four or eight cylinders, depending on the load.
2. The system maintains operation of all eight cylinders when high power is required, for example when accelerating from a standstill, overtaking or when merging onto a highway.
3. The system automatically switches to four-cylinder operation when less power is required, such as when driving at a constant speed. This improves fuel economy.
