Supply Air Temperature (IAT) Sensor — Replacement (Chevrolet Trailblazer 1)

1. The supply air temperature (IAT) sensor is a thermistor - its resistance changes depending on temperature. The PCM receives a signal whose pulse value is inversely proportional to the sensor resistance. Resistance changes inversely with air temperature.

Replacement

2. Disconnect the IAT sensor electrical connector (see illustration).



3. Rotate the sensor and pull it out of the intake air duct.

4. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal.
