Accelerator Pedal Position Sensor (APP) — Replacement (Chevrolet Trailblazer 1)

            0

1. The APP sensor consists of two separate elements, from which antiphase signals are sent to the PCM. Based on these pulses, the PCM determines the position of the accelerator pedal to which the driver has moved it. The position sensor is one of three main elements of the throttle control system (TAS). The other two elements are the throttle block and the PCM. The design of the described vehicles does not provide for the presence of a throttle cable. The PCM unit compares the position of the accelerator pedal, which the driver has moved, with the engine parameters. In this way, the throttle valve is positioned in the optimal position via the electronic drive.

Replacement

2. Disconnect the APP sensor electrical connector (see illustration).
