Removal



Caution: Handle electronic throttle control components with care (accelerator pedal) caution: Do not drop the accelerator pedal. Do not immerse throttle control components in solvents of any type.


1. Remove the knee support (if installed).

2. Press the lock (or remove the retainer) and disconnect the connector (1) of the accelerator pedal position sensor.

3. Loosen the accelerator pedal mounting bolts (or nuts). Tightening torque 9 Nm.

Note: You may need to fold the floor mat back to access the bottom fastener.

4. Remove the accelerator pedal.

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

6. After installation:
  • a) Connect the scanner to the diagnostic connector to check the throttle position and operating range.
  • b) Press the accelerator pedal and determine the throttle angles. The pedal should move freely throughout the full throttle opening range.
  • c) Make sure that the vehicle meets the following conditions:
    • the engine is not in power limit mode;
    • ignition on;
    • the engine is off.
