Electric sunroof control switch (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative battery terminal.

2. Pry up the glass of the individual lighting fixture by inserting a screwdriver into the recess along the edge of the glass.

3. Loosen the screws and remove the individual lighting lamp housing from the interior headlining.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector.

5. Remove the power sunroof control switch.

Installation procedure

1. Install the power sunroof control switch.

2. Connect the electrical connector.

Note: Direct contact of dissimilar metals may result in rapid corrosion. Use proper fasteners to avoid premature corrosion.

3. Install the individual lighting lamp housing into the interior headlining using screws.

Tighten

Tighten the individual lighting lamp housing screws to a torque of 2 Nm (18 lbs.in).

4. Install the individual lighting lampshade glass onto the housing.

5. Connect the cable to the negative terminal of the battery.
