The terminal or lead wire of the heated liftgate bus can be reconnected by soldering. Use solder containing 3 percent silver and resin flux paste.
1. The repair site should be cleaned with a thin steel wool before soldering the bus lead wire.
2. Apply a small amount of paste-like resin flux to the wire lead and to the repair area of the bus lead wire with a brush.
3. Coat the end of the soldering iron with solder. Use enough solder to ensure full recovery.
4. The heating force should not exceed that required to melt the solder. Do not overheat the wire when soldering to the bus lead wire.
