Rear door glass defroster (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

            0

The rear door glass defroster operates when the ignition switch is in the "ON" position. The defroster warms the rear door glass surface and clears it from fogging.

Attention:
  • The rear door glass defroster is not designed to remove frost, ice and raindrops. If the glass surface is covered with frost or ice, apply a special defrosting compound to the rear door glass before turning on the defroster.
  • When wiping the inside surface of the rear door glass, use a soft cloth. Carefully wipe the glass along the heating wires so as not to damage them.
  • Do not cover the heater wires with anything. Do not place objects near the rear door glass that could accidentally touch the heater wires and damage them.
  • Long-term operation of the heater may lead to battery discharge and failure of the heater itself.

1. To turn on the heater, press the switch shown in the figure. The indicator on the switch will light up.

Note: On some models, when the rear window defroster is turned on, the side mirror defrosters also turn on.

2. The heater will automatically turn off after 15 minutes. To turn off the heater earlier, press the switch again.
