2. Open the fuel tank filler cap (located on the driver's side).
3. Open the fuel filler cap by turning it counterclockwise. After removing the cap, secure the filler cap cable to the special fastener on the back of the hatch.
Caution: If the fuel filler cap is frozen, lightly tap the cap or press on it to break off the ice. If the cap does not open, use a special anti-icing compound (do not use coolant).
