Rear view mirror control (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Automatic dimming system for the interior rearview mirror



Some models are equipped with an automatic dimming system for the interior rearview mirror, which reduces the glare from headlights of vehicles driving behind reflected by the mirror.

Note: On some models, the side rearview mirrors also dim when the system is operating.


1. Make sure that the auto-dimming interior rearview mirror indicator on the interior mirror panel is on. If the indicator is not on, press and hold the "ON/OFF" button for more than six seconds. After the indicator is on, the mirror will automatically darken depending on the lighting conditions to reduce glare from headlights of vehicles driving behind you at night.
