Tailgate cargo bed (Chevrolet Avalanche) (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

1. Unlocking/locking the tailgate of the cargo platform is performed by turning the key in the tailgate lock to the left/right, respectively.

2. To open the tailgate, pull up the tailgate handle and lower it.

3. To close the tailboard, lift it up until it locks. Make sure the tailboard is securely locked.

4. If necessary, the tailboard can be removed.

Note: Removing the tailboard is possible alone, but it is preferable to have an assistant to avoid possible damage to the body when removing the tailboard.

a) Lift the tailboard slightly.

b) Disconnect the tailgate limiter cable retainer by lifting the cable to a horizontal position and then pressing the retainer towards the vehicle.



c) Lift the side up at a slight angle, press the drop side on the right side to remove it from the hinge. Then move the side to the right to disconnect it from the left hinge.

d) The installation of the side is carried out in the reverse order.
