Windscreen wipers and washers (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

The windshield wipers and washers operate when the ignition switch is in the "ON" position.

1. To turn on and stop the windshield wiper, move the bezel on the steering column combination switch handle to one of the positions:
  • Mist - "MIST" mode (turn on the wiper for one stroke to remove liquid from the windshield).
  • Delay - Switching on the cleaner in intermittent mode (adjustable response interval 1-18 seconds).
  • Low - Turn on the cleaner (continuous operation at low speed).
  • High - Turns on the cleaner (continuous operation at high speed).
  • Off - Disabled (full stop).

2. To turn on the windshield washer, press the "petal" with the image of the windshield washer on the steering wheel combination switch: after a second, the windshield wiper will turn on for 2-3 strokes.

Note: If the washer does not work, do not try to turn it on again, but check the washer pump. The washer reservoir is located at the front of the engine compartment on the driver's side. The washer reservoir cap has the following picture.

3. (Chevrolet Tahoe, Cadillac Escalade). To turn the rear window wiper on or off, turn the rear window wiper and washer switch to one of the following positions:


  • 0 - Disabled (full stop).
  • 1 - Windscreen wiper operation with a long interval.
  • 2 - Windscreen wiper operation with a short interval.

2 - Windscreen wiper operation with a short interval.


4. To turn on the rear door window washer, press the rear door window wiper and washer switch.

Note: If the washer does not work, do not try to turn it on again, but check the washer pump and the washer fluid level in the washer reservoir. The washer reservoir is located in the engine compartment.
