Compass (direction of movement) (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

The compass shows the direction of travel of the vehicle when the ignition key is set to the "ON" or "ACC" position. After briefly pressing the "ON/OFF" button on the interior rearview mirror panel, the thermometer readings and one of the following directions of travel will be displayed in the upper right corner of the mirror: "N" - north, "NE" - northeast, "E" - east, "SE" - southeast, "S" - south, "SW" - southwest, "W" - west or "NW" - northwest.

Note: Do not install roof racks, ski carriers, antennas, etc. that are attached to the body with magnets, as this will affect the operation of the compass.

Note: The compass may give incorrect indications of the direction of travel if the vehicle is located in a tunnel, parallel to a railway or when driving under it, above a subway tunnel, near transformer substations, in the city center (densely populated area), during steep climbs and descents.
