Outside air temperature indicator (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

The thermometer shows the outside air temperature of the car when the ignition key is in the "ON" or "ACC" position of the ignition switch. The thermometer readings are displayed in the upper right corner of the inside rearview mirror after briefly pressing the "ON/OFF" button on the mirror panel.



The thermometer displays temperatures in the range from -30 to +50°C or from -22 to +122°F depending on the selected units of measurement.

To change the units of measurement for the outside air temperature, press and hold the "On/OFF" button for about four seconds until the units of measurement start flashing. Briefly press the button to select the desired units of measurement. After about four seconds, the selected units of measurement will be stored in memory and the display will stop flashing.

If the display shows in thermometer mode "--°F" ("--°C"), then the outside air temperature sensor or the sensor wiring is faulty.

Note: The "--°F" ("--O") reading may appear immediately after turning the ignition key to the "ON" position, this does not indicate a malfunction.
