Rear suspension toe arm (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure



1. Raise and support the vehicle.

2. Remove the nut and bolt securing the toe-in lever to the steering knuckle.

2. Remove the nut and bolt securing the toe-in lever to the steering knuckle.


3. Remove the nut and bolt securing the toe-in lever to the support.

4. Remove the toe arm from the vehicle.

4. Remove the toe arm from the vehicle.


Installation procedure



1. Install the toe arm assembly onto the support.

Important:

  • Install the bolt with the head facing the front of the vehicle.
  • Move the cam nut to the same position as the upper control arm.

2. Install the toe-in lever onto the steering knuckle.



Tighten

Tighten the bolt to a torque of 160 Nm (118 ft·lbs).

3. Tighten the toe-in lever mounting bolt to the support.

Tighten

Tighten the bolt to a torque of 160 Nm (118 ft·lbs).

4. Lower the car.

5. Check the rear wheel alignment. See Part 2B. Wheel alignment.
