- Remove the oil level indicator and drip some oil onto a clean white paper towel.
- If the oil is diluted with fuel, this will be revealed by the way the napkin will absorb fuel from the drop of oil on the napkin. The fuel will spread out in a ring around the drop of oil.
- If fuel liquefaction is detected, inspect any additional equipment installed during after-sales service of the vehicle that may have caused damage to the injection pump. After completing the repair work, perform the test again to make sure that the problem is resolved.
- If there is no fuel dilution, check the oil level and adjust if necessary.
Fuel has entered the engine oil (Chevrolet Captiva 1)
