Warning: The fuel in the fuel system is under high pressure, so do not loosen the fuel line connections while the engine is running or immediately after it has been stopped. To repair the fuel system on an engine that has just been stopped, you must first reduce the fuel pressure in the fuel system. 5-6 hours after the engine has been stopped, the fuel pressure in the fuel system will drop to almost zero.
1. Place the gearshift lever in neutral position and apply the parking brake.
2. Turn off the ignition, open the hood and place it on the support.
3. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.

4. Remove the cover of the fuse and relay mounting block located in the engine compartment (see "Location of fuses, fuse links and relays and their replacement").

5. Remove the fuel pump fuse from the mounting block.
6. Connect the wire to the negative terminal of the battery, start the engine and let it run until the fuel rail is completely used up. After that, the engine will stall.
7. Turn off the ignition. Now you can disconnect the fuel lines.
