Springs/eyelets — removal and installation (Chevrolet Tahoe 1)

1. Raise the rear of the car and place it on stands. Block the front wheels, hang the rear axle to relieve some of the load on the springs.

2. Unscrew the U-bolt nuts and remove the washers (see photo).



3. Remove the U-bolt pressure plates.

4. Remove the stirrups and gasket (see photo).



5. Loosen the spring earring mounting nuts (see photo).



6. Unscrew the nuts securing the earring to the rear spring bracket, remove the washers and remove the bolt.



7. Unscrew the nuts securing the earring to the front spring bracket, remove the washers and remove the bolt (see photo).



8. Remove the spring from the vehicle.

9. Installation is carried out in reverse order. Tighten the U-bolt nuts in a cross pattern (see photo). Tighten all fasteners to the specified torques
