Folding the rear seat (2-door version)
If your car has a rear seat, it can be folded down to provide more cargo space. Before folding, make sure there is nothing under or in front of the seat.

When folding the seat, remove the headrests first.
Press the button on the top of the seat and pull the headrest out of the guide tubes. Detach the storage bag from the back of the seat. Then put the headrests in there and place the headrests in the footwell under the seat.
To fold the seat, pull the handle on the bottom of the seat cushion marked RELEASE.

When you release the seat cushion, the seat back will automatically release.
Pull the loop on the seat back forward and fold the seat back onto the seat cushion.
When the seat is in the folded position, move the seat belt latches from the inside position to the hooks on the side at the top on each side out of the way.

To return the seat to the passenger position, simply lift the seatback up and push it back until the latch engages.
After returning the seat to the passenger position, pull the seatback forward to ensure it is locked into place. Also, return the seat belts and head restraints to their original positions.
Folding the rear seat (4-door version)

If your vehicle has a 60/40 rear seat, each side can be folded to create more cargo space.
Before folding, place the latch tongue of the center seat belt in the center armrest. This way, the belt will be stowed when the seat is folded and will be easily accessible to the passenger when the seat is returned to the passenger position. Also make sure that there is nothing in front of or under the seat. When the seat is folded, it will lie horizontally on the floor.
When folding the chair, first remove the headrests as described in the previous chapters. Set the headrests aside in a convenient place. You will put them in the appropriate place after folding the seat.

To fold the chair, pull up on the loop at the back of the seat cushion.
Then lift the seat cushion and fold it forward.
After folding the cushion all the way forward, pull the seat back and fold it down until it lies flat.

Then push the headrests down into the holes behind the seat cushion. Make sure the headrest posts go all the way into the holes.
To return the seat to the passenger position, first pull the head restraints out of the seat cushion.
Lift the seatback and push it back all the way, then put the cushion back in place.
After returning the seat to the passenger position, return the headrests to their places, making sure that the backrest and cushion are securely fastened in their places.
Remove the seat belt latches from the armrest so they are accessible for use by the passenger.
Folding the second seat (suburban variant)
The second 60/40 seat in the Suburban version folds the same way as in the 4-door.

To create the cargo area, detach the panels from the back of the second seat by pushing them back toward the latch to close the rear seat footwell.
To return the seat to the passenger position, lift the cargo floor panels and fasten them back to the back of the second seat.
