Check spare tire and jack (every 7,500 miles or 12 months) (Chevrolet Lumina 1)

            0

1. Periodically check the condition and reliability of the spare wheel and jack. This will help you become familiar with the procedure required when changing a tire (if you don't have any experience with this type of work), and such a check will allow you to make sure that none of the fastening bolts or nuts of the parts have become loose while the car was running.

2. Following the instructions in your vehicle's owner's manual, check the spare tire and jack. The jack is located in the rear right corner of the passenger compartment under the cover (see illustration). The spare wheel is located under the rear of the car.

24.2 Open the cover and remove it to gain access to the jack

3. Using a reliable pressure gauge, check the pressure in the spare tire. It should be maintained at the level marked on the sidewall of the tyre.

4. Make sure that the jack works properly and its parts are not damaged.

5. After finishing the work, make sure that the jack and spare tire are secure.
