Removal and installation the air filter housing (Chevrolet Lumina 1)

1. Disconnect the cable from the negative terminal of the battery.

2. Remove the battery from the vehicle if necessary (see chapter 5).

Engine with a working volume of 3.1 liters



3. Remove the air filter element (see chapter 1).

4. Disconnect the air intake clamp from the air cleaner (see illustration).

5. Disconnect the electrical connector from the pressure sensor (IDA), remove all vacuum lines from the body, and disconnect all other air intake retainers.

6. Disconnect the crankcase ventilation tube.

7. Disconnect the hot air intake and remove the air filter housing from the vehicle.

8. To install the air filter, repeat the steps in reverse order.

Engine with a working volume of 3.8 liters



9. Unscrew the bolts (see illustration), holding the air intake in the front of the engine compartment.

10. Loosen the bolt and disconnect the clamp from the engine (see illustration) and an air intake in the engine compartment.

11. Loosen the clamp that connects the throttle body to the air intake (see illustration).

12. Disconnect the air temperature sensor (AIT) (see illustration) and remove the air filter housing from the engine compartment.

13. Install the air filter in reverse order.
