Note: Some vehicles do not have a damper installed.
1. We prepare the vehicle for maintenance and repair, and install it on an inspection pit or overpass.
2. Inspect the dampers and check the reliability of their fastening.
Recommendation. If the damper is deformed or has other mechanical damage, it should be replaced. If the stud on which it is installed is bent, it also needs to be replaced.
3. To replace the damper, use a slotted screwdriver to pry up the plug and move it to the side.

4. Using a TORX T30 key, unscrew the damper, holding the stud bolt screwed into the caliper guide pin with a 13 mm key.

5. Remove the damper.

6. After applying anaerobic thread lock to the stud, install the damper in the reverse order.
