Wheels and tires — general information (Chevrolet Trailblazer 1)

            0

The models described in this manual are equipped with metric size radial tires with fiberglass or steel cord (see illustration). Operating a vehicle with other types of tires may result in poor handling and cross-country ability. Do not install different types of tires on your vehicle (radial and diagonal), since this will result in a sharp decrease in controllability. It is recommended that pairs of tyres be replaced on the same axle, but if only one tyre is replaced, ensure that its type, size, structure and tread pattern match the parameters of the other tyres installed.

25.1. Decoding the designation of tires with metric sizes

25.1. Decoding the designation of tires with metric sizes

Since tire pressure decreases with use, check it at least once a month and before long trips (see chapter 1).

If the wheel rim is bent, dented, does not provide a seal to the tire, has excessively worn bolt holes, is significantly corroded, or does not provide proper lug nuts, replace it. It is not recommended to roll or repair discs using welding.

To achieve optimum braking and dynamic performance, as well as to improve handling, it is necessary to maintain the dynamic balance of the tire and wheel rim. As a result of imbalance, the dynamic characteristics of the car deteriorate and the service life of the tires decreases. Balance your wheels every time you install a tire on a rim.
