Checking tires (Chevrolet Tahoe 1)

1. Cars are equipped with tires with a tape indicator about 12 mm wide, which becomes visible when the remaining tread depth is about 2 mm.

2. Tire maintenance consists of checking the tread depth and tire pressure (tested on cold tires), identifying signs of abnormal wear and damage that can be used to determine the condition of the front suspension and steering components (see photo). Regularly remove stones or sharp objects stuck in the tread. Periodically remove the wheels and clean the outer and inner surfaces of the disk from dirt. If you have any doubts about the consequences of any damage found, consult a tire repair shop. Rotate the wheels at the specified intervals (see below).
