1. Battery care is reduced to checking the condition of the poles and terminals, the condition of the power cables, tightening the cable connections at the poles (see photo), checking for electrolyte leakage and corrosion on adjacent metal parts, periodically checking voltage and charging.
2. The places affected by corrosion should be washed with a soda solution and painted with zinc primer. Terminals and poles should be cleaned to a shine, while not deforming the conical part of the terminals.
3. For recharging, the battery must be removed from the vehicle.
4. Charge the battery (except unattended) recommended current 2 A for 12-16 hours. To check the capacity of the battery, it is recommended to charge the battery with a current of 1/10 of the capacity expressed in ampere-hours.
5. Check electrolyte density. Some of the batteries have built-in hydrometers of the chromatic type. The density of the electrolyte in such a battery is determined by the color chart supplied by the manufacturer (a dark color of the indicator usually indicates that the battery is completely discharged).
