Anti-roll bar (rear) and its bushings — removal and installation (Chevrolet Trailblazer 1)

1. Loosen the rear wheel nuts, raise the rear of the vehicle and place vertical supports. To prevent the vehicle from rolling, place chocks under the front wheels. Remove the rear wheels.

2. Remove the nuts/bolts securing the stabilizer bar cleats to the frame (see illustration).

3. Unscrew the nuts located at the lower ends of the shackles, then disconnect the shackles from the anti-roll bar.

4. Unscrew the clamping nuts (see illustration) and remove the stabilizer.

5. Inspect the stabilizer bushings and earrings for cracks, worn areas, and other signs of damage. Replace if necessary.

6. Installation is carried out in the reverse order of removal. Tighten all fasteners to the specified torque.
