Removal procedure



1. Remove the caliper bracket.

2. Remove the disc lock screw.

3. Remove the brake disc.

4. Disconnect the ABS sensor connector.

5. Unscrew the hub bolts.

6. Remove the hub, shoe and parking brake shield assembly.

7. Remove the upper and lower return springs and the clearance adjuster mechanism from the parking brake shoe and shield assembly.



8. Remove the retainer spring washer, spring and retainer spring stand.

9. Remove the parking brake shoe.

9. Remove the parking brake shoe.


10. Remove the parking brake cable from the shield.

10. Remove the parking brake cable from the shield.


Installation procedure



1. Install the parking brake cable on the shield.

2. Install the detent spring stand, parking brake shoe, spring and detent spring washer.



3. Install the clearance adjustment mechanism, lower and upper tension springs.

4. Install the hub with bolts.

Tighten

Tighten the hub bolts to 65 Nm (48 ft·lbs).

5. Connect the ABS sensor connector.

6. Install the disc with the locking screw.

Tighten

Tighten the brake disc stop screw to 8 N·m (71 lb-in).

7. Install the caliper bracket using bolts.



Tighten

Tighten the caliper bracket bolts to 100 N·m (74 lb-ft).

8. Install the wheel.
