Removal
1. Raise and secure the vehicle securely.
2. Remove the brake shoe components, including complete removal of the parking brake with the locking pin.
3. Remove the nuts securing the wheel hub to the support shield.
4. Remove the brake pipe and cover the hole in the brake pipe to prevent fluid leakage and dirt from entering.

5. Remove the wheel cylinder.
6. Remove the wheel hubs.
7. For vehicles with ABS, disconnect the wire that goes to the wheel speed sensor.
8. Separate the support shield and gasket.

Installation
1. Install the brake shield together with a new gasket onto the wheel hub. (Shown is a hub for a vehicle with ABS.)
2. Install the entire wheel hub with the brake shield onto the lever flange. For vehicles with ABS, tighten the nuts and connect the wheel speed sensor.
3. Tighten the nuts securing the brake shield with the wheel hub to the rear axle to a torque of 28 Nm.

4. Install the brake wheel cylinder onto the support shield.
5. Connect the brake pipe and tighten to 16 Nm.
6. Install the brake components.
7. Using the clamp, install the parking brake cable, connecting the cable to the hand brake lever.
8. Bleed the brakes.
9. Lower the vehicle.
