Disassembly
1. Remove the wheel cylinder assembly from the support plate.
2. Remove the protective caps, pistons and seals from each end of the wheel cylinder.
3. Remove the spring.
4. Remove the bypass valve cap and valve.
Assembly
1. Inspect wheel cylinder cavity and pistons for gouges, nicks, corrosion, and wear.
2. With the help of crocus (iron oxide powder) grind places in the cavity of the wheel cylinder with slight corrosion.
Caution: If the cavity is not cleared with the crocus, replace this assembly.
3. Wipe all parts with brake fluid. Dry them with clean compressed air. Lubricate new seals, pistons and wheel cylinder cavity with clean brake fluid before installation.
4. Coat all parts except the dust caps with a thin layer of brake fluid from the cylinder.
5. Install the bleed valve and its cap on the wheel cylinder.
6. Install the spring into the cylinder, then the pistons, seals and protective caps.
7. Check pistons for free movement.
8. Install the wheel cylinder.
