Removal procedure



1. Remove the battery and battery tray. See section 1E2, Engine Electrical Equipment - FAM II 2.4D.

Caution: Raise the engine sufficiently to relieve the load on the transmission assembly mount, otherwise damage to the mount and failure of the lifting equipment may occur.


2. Support the engine assembly using the DW110-060 engine clamp.

3. Unscrew the locking bolts of the gearbox suspension bracket with the final drive assembly from the gearbox.

Installation procedure



1. Install the gearbox suspension unit with the final drive assembly.

Tighten

Tighten the locking bolts (2) of the gearbox mount assembly to 37 N·m (27 ft·lbs).

Tighten the locking bolts (1) securing the gearbox mounting bracket to a torque of 50 N·m (37 ft·lbs).

2. Remove the engine assembly fixture DW110-060.

3. Install the battery and battery tray. See section 1E2, Engine Electrical Equipment - FAM II 2.4D.
