Helpful Hints: Drain the oil after driving while the engine is still warm. If the engine is cold, start and warm it up to operating temperature.
Fill with the same brand of oil as the oil that was in the engine. If you still decide to change the brand of oil, flush the lubrication system with flushing oil or oil of the brand that will be used. To do this, after draining the old oil, fill in new oil to the lower mark on the dipstick. Start the engine and let it idle for 10 minutes. Drain the oil and only then change the oil filter. Now you can fill in new oil to the required level (up to the top mark on the dipstick).
Warning: Do not dump used oil on the ground.
1. Clean the drain plug on the engine oil sump with a wire brush and then with a rag.
2. Place a container for the drained oil under the plug.
Note: The plug is sealed with a copper washer. If the washer is severely crimped, be sure to replace it.
3. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil.
Warning: Be careful: the oil is hot.
4. Close the cap.
5. Remove cover 1 (pic. 5.34) oil filter and remove the O-ring 2.

6. Remove the filter element 3 of the oil filter.
Note: The oil filter is installed on the front of the engine block in the area of the 4th cylinder.
7. Install the filter element in the oil filter.
8. Install a new o-ring. Lubricate the ring with clean engine oil before installation.
9. Tighten the oil filter cap to 25 Nm.
Warning: Overtightening the oil filter cap may damage it and result in oil leakage.
10. Unscrew the oil filler cap and fill in clean engine oil, following the indicator (dipstick) engine oil level. Before removing the pointer, wait 2-3 minutes to allow the oil to drain into the crankcase.
11. Replace the oil filler cap.
12. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes (the signal lamp for the emergency drop in oil pressure should go out 2-3 seconds after the engine is started). While the engine is running, check for oil leaks from under the drain plug and oil filter. Stop the engine, check the oil level, add oil if necessary, tighten the plug and filter.
