Helpful Hints: Drain the oil after driving while the engine is still warm. If the engine is cold, start it and warm it up to operating temperature.
Fill with the same brand of oil as the oil that was in the engine. If you still decide to change the brand of oil, flush the lubrication system with flushing oil or oil of the brand that will be used. To do this, after draining the old oil, fill with new oil up to the lower mark on the dipstick. Start the engine and let it idle for 10 minutes. Drain the oil and only then replace the oil filter. Now you can fill with new oil to the required level (to the upper mark on the dipstick).
Warning: Do not dump used oil on the ground.
1. Clean the drain plug on the engine oil pan with a wire brush and then with a rag.
2. Place a container under the plug to collect the drained oil.
Note: The plug is sealed with a copper washer. If the washer is too tight, be sure to replace it.
3. Remove the drain plug and drain the oil.
Warning: Be careful, the oil is hot.
4. Screw the cap back on.
5. Unscrew cover 1 (Fig. 5.34) of the oil filter and remove sealing ring 2.

6. Remove filter element 3 of the oil filter.
Note: The oil filter is installed on the front of the engine block in the area of the 4th cylinder.
7. Install the filter element into the oil filter.
8. Install a new sealing ring. Before installing, lubricate the ring with clean engine oil.
9. Tighten the oil filter cap to a torque of 25 N·m.
Warning: Exceeding the tightening torque of the oil filter cap may cause damage to the cap, resulting in oil leakage.
10. Unscrew the oil filler cap and fill with clean engine oil, monitoring the oil level in the engine using the indicator (dipstick). Before removing the indicator, wait 2-3 minutes to allow the oil to drain into the crankcase.
11. Replace the oil filler cap.
12. Start the engine and let it idle for a few minutes (the oil pressure warning light should go out 2-3 seconds after the engine is started). While the engine is running, check for oil leaks from the drain plug and oil filter. Stop the engine, check the oil level, add oil if necessary, tighten the plug and filter.
