The air filter element is replaced at the next maintenance. However, its condition largely depends on the operating conditions of the car: on more dusty and polluted roads, the element becomes clogged faster.
TIP: Periodically between replacements, remove the filter element and clean it of dust by shaking vigorously or blowing compressed air in the direction opposite to the air movement when the engine is running.
1. Turn out two screws of fastening of a cover of the air filter.
NOTE: This is how the air filter cover screws are located.
2. Lift the lid by the edge...
3.... and remove the protrusions on the opposite edge of the cover from the holes in the air filter housing.
4. Move the air filter cover aside and remove the air filter element from the housing.
5. Inspect the filter element. Blow it out with compressed air. Replace heavily soiled filter element.
6. Remove dust and dirt from the air filter housing.
7. Install the filter element in the reverse order of removal.
