Models up to 1994
1. Fully lower the window glass and disconnect the battery from the ground.
2. Remove the screw caps and unscrew the screws securing the armrest (see photo).
3. On manual window models, remove the power window handle. On power window models, pry and remove the switch box panel by disconnecting the connector from the switch box (see photo).
4. Using a putty knife or large screwdriver between the door trim panel and the door frame, pry and release the latches around the entire perimeter of the panel.
5. After release of latches disconnect the facing panel of a door and remove it from the car.
6. To access the inside of the door frame, carefully pry and move aside the waterproof screen so as not to tear it (see photo).
7. Before installing the door panel, make sure all latches are present, install any missing latches.
8. Install the panel in place and, pressing the latches in place, press the panel into the door. Install armrest and secure with screws. Install the power window handle or switch box.
Models since 1995
9. Disconnect the battery from the ground.
10. Remove the door handle trim by gently prying and pulling (see photo).
11. On models with a manual window regulator, remove the window regulator drive handle.
12. Unscrew the two screws and remove the inner handle to slam the door (see photo).
13. Remove the door switch panel by carefully prying it out of the latches (see photo). When removing, push the panel back to disengage the front latch. Rotate and disconnect the small speaker connector.
14. Remove the top trim by prying it up and out of the clips.
15. Carefully pry and remove the armrest screw caps, unscrew the screws and remove the cover.
16. Remove the door trim panel from the latches with a special spatula (see photo).
17. Installation is carried out in the reverse order.
