Coolant bypass valve (Chevrolet Tahoe 2)

Removal

1. Drain the coolant from the engine cooling system. See chapter "Cooling system".

2. Disconnect the fastening clamps of the refrigerant drain pipe (6) and the refrigerant supply pipe (5).

3. Unscrew the bolts (3) securing the bypass valve to the heater unit.

4. Remove the coolant bypass valve (4). Tightening torque 4 Nm.

Installation

5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.

6. Fill the cooling system with coolant.

7. Using a special device, check the connected fittings of the system for coolant leaks.
