Note: Replacing disc brake hardware is shown using a 1500 series front brake as an example.
1. Remove the brake caliper (without disconnecting the brake hose). Hang the caliper on the wire on the frame.
2. Remove the brake pads.
3. Remove guide pins, anthers and bushings from the caliper bracket.
4. Remove the bolts (2) caliper bracket mounting (1), remove the bracket.
Torque:
- 1500 series, front 200 Nm.
- 2500 series, front 300 Nm.
- 1500 series rear 170 Nm.
- 2500 series rear 200 Nm.
Note: Apply locking adhesive to the bolt threads before installation.
5. Installation is carried out in the reverse order. When installing, lubricate the bushings, anthers and guide pins with refractory silicone grease.
