To turn on the heater, move the electric fan speed controller 3 from the OFF position to any other position corresponding to the required intensity of air flow from the air ducts. By turning the temperature regulator 1, we select the temperature of the air entering the passenger compartment, using the air flow distribution mode switches 2 we select the required flow direction (indicated on the pictograms by arrows):
— air is supplied both to the upper part of the cabin through the instrument panel deflectors and to the feet of the driver and passengers;
- air is supplied to the feet of the driver and passengers;
- air is supplied to the upper part of the cabin through the instrument panel deflectors;
— air is supplied to the passenger compartment only through the air vents of the windshield and side windows of the front doors (used for quick defrosting and defogging of the windshield);
— air is supplied to the passenger compartment through the air vents of the windshield and side windows of the front doors, as well as to the feet of the driver and passengers.
To turn the air conditioner on or off, press switch 4, and the control lamp located on it will light up. The air conditioner operates only when the engine is running and the air conditioning fan is on.
In recirculation mode, air from the outside does not enter the passenger compartment. It is advisable to turn on this mode when driving through very dusty sections of the road or when unpleasant odors come from outside. In addition, in recirculation mode, the air in the cabin reaches the required temperature faster. However, prolonged use of this mode leads to fogging of the windows and deterioration of the air quality in the car. To turn on the recirculation mode, press switch 5, the indicator lamp will light. The mode is switched off by pressing the switch again.

To turn on the air conditioning system in automatic mode, press the AUTO switch and set the required temperature value using regulator 1.
In AUTO mode, the air conditioning system operates automatically depending on the set conditions and the air temperature in the cabin. For this purpose, sensors are used that determine the temperature in different parts of the car's interior. Based on the sensor signals, the control unit automatically changes the air temperature from the deflectors and ventilation grilles, its direction and the intensity of the electric fan to ensure maximum comfort and achieve the set temperature. The set temperature value, as well as the rotation speed of the electric fan and the selected operating mode are displayed on the information display.
Automatically controlled climate control system (climate control) can be controlled manually. To turn off automatic mode, do one of the following: change the speed of the electric fan, change the direction of air flow distribution, or turn off the air conditioning system.
When the MODE switch is pressed, the air flow distribution modes are sequentially switched, and the symbol corresponding to the selected mode is displayed on the information display.

Note: When the windshield defroster is turned on, the air conditioner is automatically turned on and the recirculation mode is turned off.
The AQS air pollution sensor detects the humidity in the passenger compartment and the surrounding atmosphere and automatically switches the air recirculation mode on or off.
Malfunctions that may occur in the operation of the air conditioning control unit
1. When switching the speed controller of the electric fan, the intensity of the air flow does not change or sharp changes in operation are felt - we check the operation of the electric fan of the air conditioning system.
2. The electric fan of the mountains operates at maximum speed, but the intensity of the air flow remains low - the filter of the air conditioning system may be clogged; radiator of the heating system or evaporator of the air conditioning system.
3. When switching on different air flow distribution modes, the direction of the flows does not change - most likely, the control unit or the control drive of the corresponding damper is faulty.
4. When the temperature regulator is set to maximum heating, the temperature of the air coming out of the nozzles does not increase - the air conditioning control unit or the damper control drive is faulty. It is possible that an air lock has formed in the cooling system, the heater radiator is clogged, or the engine is not warmed up enough.
