1. Disconnect the wire from the negative terminal of the battery.
2. Remove the head unit audio system trim (see "Removal and installation the head unit of the audio system").
3. Remove the two upper screws securing the HVAC control unit.
4. Remove the decorative trim from the instrument panel console (see "Removal and installation the floor tunnel lining").
5. Remove the two lower screws securing the HVAC control unit...
6. ...and move the unit away from the instrument panel by the length of the connected wires.
7. Press the locking tab of the wiring harness connector of the central locking control switch...
8. ...and disconnect the connector from the switch.
9. Similarly, disconnect the wiring harness connectors from the hazard warning lights and front passenger airbag switches (if it is installed)...
10. ...right...
11. ...central...
12. ...and the left wiring harness for the heating and air conditioning control switches.
13. Press the lock...
14. ...and disconnect the cable from the air flow direction regulator.
15. Similarly, disconnect the cable from the supply air temperature regulator and remove the heating, air conditioning and ventilation control unit complete with decorative trim.
16. Remove the four screws securing the decorative trim to the block and remove the trim.
17. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
