Electric motor for air intake flap (Chevrolet Captiva 1)

Removal procedure

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the instrument panel. See section 9E, "Instruments/Driver Information System".

3. Remove the drive rod by freeing it from the lever using needle-nose pliers.

4. Remove the drive lever.

5. Disconnect the electrical connector.

6. Loosen the electric motor mounting screws.

7. Remove the electric motor.

Installation procedure

1. Install the electric motor.

2. Tighten the electric motor mounting bolts and secure them.

3. Install the drive lever.

4. Install the drive rod.

5. Connect the electrical connector.

6. Replace the instrument panel. See section 9E, "Instruments/Driver Information System".

7. Connect the negative battery cable.
