1. Remove the electric fan of the engine cooling system together with the casing (see "Removal and installation of the electric fan of the radiator of the engine cooling system in assembly with the casing").
2. Use a screwdriver to pry up the retainer securing the additional resistance to the electric fan casing...
3. ... remove the wire harness from the holder and disconnect the resistor from the casing.
4. Remove the three screws securing the electric motor to the casing...
5. ... remove the wiring harness from the holder and remove the electric motor assembly with the impeller, passing the wiring harness through the hole in the casing.
NOTE: To reduce noise and ensure high passenger comfort, the fan impeller is precision injection molded and, after assembly with the electric motor, is balanced with weights attached to the impeller blades.
6. Install the electric motor in the reverse order of removal.
