Removal procedure



1. Remove the master cylinder. See Part 4B, "Master Cylinder".

2. Remove the clamp securing the vacuum hose to the vacuum booster.

3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the booster. See procedure "Vacuum hose" in this section.

3. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the booster. See procedure «Vacuum hose» in this section.


4. Disconnect the retainer from the vacuum booster pushrod.

5. Remove the vacuum booster mounting nuts from the studs located on the instrument panel and remove the booster.

Installation procedure



1. Install the amplifier and mounting nuts to the instrument panel.

Tighten

Tighten the nuts securing the vacuum booster to the instrument panel to a torque of 22 N·m (16 ft·lbs).

2. Install the master cylinder onto the booster. See Part 4B, "Master Cylinder".

3. Install a new vacuum hose. See procedure "Vacuum hose" in this section.

4. Attach the retainer to the brake booster pushrod.

5. Check the amplifier for functionality. See "Checking the operation of the vacuum booster" in this section.
