1. It is necessary to remove air from the hydraulic steering drive whenever the line is disassembled, regardless of the measures taken to prevent air from entering.
2. Set the wheels to the straight-ahead position. Check the fluid level, and if necessary, top up to the Cold mark on the dipstick.
3. Start the engine and run at fast idle. Check the fluid level.
4. Turn the wheels in both directions until they stop, without hitting the limiter. Check and restore the fluid level.
5. Return the wheels to the straight-ahead position. After a few minutes, stop the engine. Take a ride and check the steering operation; there should be no extraneous noise when turning the steering wheel.
6. Check the fluid level, which should be at the Hot mark on a warm engine. Top up if necessary.
