1. The air filter thermostat stabilizes the temperature of the air supplied to the injection module on the throttle pipe. Air supply is provided by a flap, which closes the cold air channel and slightly opens the hot air channel coming from the exhaust manifold jacket. The flap is connected to a rod that moves when the thermostat working fluid expands.
2. Set the car's parking brake and block the wheels.
3. When the engine is cold, remove the air filter. The outside air channel should be closed with a damper.
4. Reinstall the air filter and make sure the hot air supply pipe is connected to the air filter nozzle and the exhaust manifold.
5. Start the engine. Watch the flap on the air filter attachment. As the air warms up, the flap should open slightly.
6. If the damper does not open, clean the axle from rust and lubricate. Replace the air filter.
