1. On all-wheel drive models, remove the boot from the transfer case lever.
2. Loosen the screws and move the lever cover together with the cover.
3. On a vehicle with a 4-speed cast iron transmission, push the lever in and turn it counterclockwise.
4. On a vehicle with a 4 or 5-speed transmission with an aluminum housing, loosen the clutch lever collet clamp nut and unscrew the lever.
5. Installation is carried out in reverse order.
